In the past it was devastating for employers to be removed from Group Experience Rating. BWC has developed programs designed to lessen the impact of anomalous claims.
If one significant claim is resulting in your removal from your group experience rating plan, BWC will give your company an artificial discount to relieve your policy from the impact of the one-time occurence. Rules require that you have no more than 3 other medical only claims in your experience to participate. In return you will attend a 1/2 day industry-specific classroom style class one time during the first year and up to 3-hour on-line training in subsequent years.
BWC will grant discounts in this order as long as you continue to meet the qualifications:
Year One: 20% Discount
Year Two: 15% Discount
Year Three: 10% Discount
Year Four: 5% Discount
Application deadline is April 30.
If you have recently been removed from your group experience rating plan, BWC will give your company an artificial EM to relieve your policy from the impact intially until you have reached your true EM. BWC will increase your EM by no more than 100% each year until such time as you reach your true EM. In return you will attend a 1/2 day industry-specific classroom style class one time during the first year and up to 3-hour on-line training in subsequent years.
