Premium Discount Program
Plus
The Premium Discount Program Plus (PDP+) is designed
for Ohio State Fund employers not enrolled in group rating. It
is intended to benefit employers that make sincere efforts in controlling
costs through comprehensive safety programs. The premium discount,
which is applied to annual premium rates, is 10% for the first
two years and 5% for the third rating year.
The employer must adopt and implement the BWC 10-Step Business Plan which emphasizes
accident frequency reduction, management-level involvement and communication
between employees and management. The plan also includes a safety and health
policy, orientation and training, record-keeping, data analysis, disability
management and timely notification of accidents.
The employer can earn up to a 20% rebate as a bonus for reducing the number
of lost days and number of claims from one period to the next. By adopting
and implementing the PDP+ premium reduction becomes a reality.
V&A will conduct a savings analysis to determine
the premium savings each client will realize by enrolling in the
PDP+ program. Additionally, V&A will assist employers in the
enrollment process as well as provide comprehensive claims management
strategies to aid clients in reaching the frequency /severity benchmarks.
